A recent visit to the elegant Porto Cupecoy development with its luxury condominiums, gourmet restaurants and yacht harbor was very encouraging: There is almost no trace to be found that a catastrophic hurricane had just run over the region. Porto Cupecoy appears to be intact and whatever damage the project suffered is apparently repaired.

Restaurants, cafes and shops were open, catering to residents. The Gourmet Marche supermarket is well stocked, even with fresh produce.
We talked to St. Martin Sotheby's representative Michele Warden. She expects a good number of units to be available for short term rental for the upcoming winter season. We will update the listings on ST-MAARTEN.COM as soon as we get a definite status report of each vacation apartment.
