St-Maarten.com has been covering the island of Sint Maarten — Saint Martin since 1996. The domain was originally used by the St. Maarten Tourist Bureau. A few years later it passed into independent hands, and has remained independently published ever since.
The site is owned and operated by St. Maarten Media LLC, operating on the French side of the island in Marigot. It is edited by Jan Thoelke, a German national who has lived on the island for three decades and knows its two sides — Dutch and French — from the inside.

St-Maarten.com covers beaches, restaurants, nightlife, jewelry shopping, rental cars, real estate, hotels, activities, and island life for visitors and prospective residents alike. Every listing and editorial piece reflects direct local knowledge. We do not republish tourism board press releases, accept payment for editorial coverage, or let advertising relationships influence what we write.
When we recommend a jeweler, a restaurant, or a rental car company, it is because we believe they offer genuine value. When we warn against something — a bad beach, a rental car scam, a neighborhood that doesn't live up to its reputation — we say so plainly.
Accuracy Policy
Business information — hours, prices, contact details, menus — changes constantly on a small Caribbean island. We update listings within 48 hours of being notified of a change. The Weekly Edition
St-Maarten.com publishes the Weekly Edition, a print newspaper distributed at Princess Juliana Airport on arrival — reaching visitors at the highest-intent moment of their trip. There are an additional 150 distribution spots around the island. The newspaper covers island news, dining, events, and practical information for stay-over visitors. Digital editions are available to subscribers.
Advertising
St-Maarten.com offers advertising in both the print newspaper and on the website. Advertising relationships are kept strictly separate from editorial decisions.
